2021: the Year of Dedicated Commitment
"Commit thy works unto the LORD and thy thoughts shall be established" - Proverbs 16:3
The Year 2021 has been established as the "Year of Dedicated Commitment" at Landmark Worship Center and within the whole Landmark Community of Faith. So many times we, the church, like the rest of world struggle with following through with our commitments; but in 2021 we have determined to change this mindset. In 2021, we endeavor to be the church that has been called out to serve as a light to the world, declaring the Gospel Message of the love of G-D to all people at all times.
From the Pastor...
Greetings in the Name of the LORD Jesus; the Christ, the Anointed One, the Messiah. As we venture into this season of reflection on what the day of Jesus' birth truly means, allow me to challenge each of us to strive to meet the measure of such an example. Each year during this season, people tend to put aside their differences in order to celebrate the "holiday." There are even reports that opposing forces would often ease fighting one another and meet on the battlefield on Christmas Day to honor the spirit of "peace on earth." But why is this only during the holiday season, why can it not continue into the daily lives of humanity. The Bible clearly states in Hebrews 12:14, "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the LORD."
Where is our desire to strive for peace with all people? Is this only available during the Christmas Season? What would our world, our lives, look like if we could stop fighting based on demographics? How much more peace could you have if you found the miracle of the manger and what it represents everyday? How much more peace would you have if the attitude you have during this holiday season, was the attitude you had all year long?
I want to encourage you all to purpose in the coming year to strive for peace with all men, all humanity, whether you find yourself in agreement with them or not. Find the LOVE of G-D that brought you to salvation, and let that go forth into all the world. Let it declare, just as the angels did that faithful night, "Glory to G-D in the highest, peace and goodwill to all men!"
